This is not like a “I wanna kms lemme tell you why” vent it’s more of a subtle thing I guess
So I come from a broken home
I’m pretty that’s what it’s called
And if you don’t know what a broken home is then look it up because I am not explaining it
ANYWAYS
So my dad just told me and my brother that he’s seeing someone
And idk how to feel about it
I’m happy for him of course but
Like it bothers me a bit
Because the last time he was seeing someone it didn’t go well
And I really liked her
And I don’t want that to happen to him again, ya know?
If anyone else comes from a broken home, can you like help me?
Like how you felt the first time one of your parents told you they were seeing someone

well my parents didnt get divorsed but my dad died

when my mom started seeing my step-dad i felt really scared and worried he was going to do something wrong, so much so that i threatened him and told him that if he ever hurt us i would kill him

as the being a big brother, i was really scared and convinced myself not to trust him...
i have a little brother, who is 16, another little brother who is 11, a little sister who is 7, and another little brother who is 2
my dad died when my mom was 8 months pregnant from a car crash

im sorry this is happening to you, and i can't tell you this is going to be ok
you just need to trust your dad and his lover, but while also remember that not everyones perfect and that relationships dont work out sometimes

my dad dated his ex when i was 5 cuz divorce (my bio mom was the WORST)

.<. poor lady married him and ended up raising a gremlin with PTSD and mental health problems
she still has PTSD and mental health problems, the only difference is she's taller and typing this message right now
