Muscles under and overlap each other like a rope. But they also connect to the bones for support like metal rods and concrete. Memorizing the muscles how they move, what they look like can all help with drawing muscles differently angels can make muscles look very different (example: triceps) using a reference when you don’t know what muscles in certain angles look like can help a lot. I personally struggled with the arm and its complexed shapes but now it’s the back ( I don’t know if I’ll ever get fingers right). Another example biceps the most known muscle can be harshly effected by the way it moves. Flex your biceps 💪 line the emoji but now turn your hand and make it point to your elbow and look at the gap between your bicep and your forearm change to get closer
