Sonic123 or simply referred to as “Sonic” is a sentient Sonic 3 cartridge that originated somewhere inbetween Mito and Tokyo Japan. The cartridge presents itself as a low quality game port of a game project imitating Sonic 3, using refurnished Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 art, voicelines from other games, and using made up characters and objects to rewrite Sonic 3’s story. The cartridge itself is a partially worn out Lock-on Sonic 3 cartridge except onfront of the cover is the name “Sonic123” hastily printed ontop of the original name in what appears to be a runny red paint.
Sonic’s true form is shown to be a taller lankier version of Sonic the hedgehog, it’s form being thrown together images of Sonic art and other pictures like teeth, organs, and a stringy red material covered in what appears to be cysts. In the game that Sonic resides in His form is constantly shifting and contorting in odd shapes and figures, as if being puppeteered by a malfunctioning program or a sentient construct that doesn’t quite understand how to move properly yet.
What Sonic truly is is a sentient Artificial intelligence created by the Japanese government to seek out U.S. crafts and devices and consume and implement defective codes to override the tech to malfunction and become defective. The testers of this program decided to use this technology on a Sonic 3 cartridge to see it’s effects on the game and the aftermath of the program. Upon installation seconds after nearby computers started to flicker between the home screen and a black screen, the lights started to malfunction, and the pipes inside the walls began to creak and groan. Before they could unplug the cartridge and leave the room a nearby propane tank exploded and caused the room to collapse on itself, killing every person inside the room and flinging the cartridge meters away from the site.
Over the years, the cartridge has been lying on the ground, festering code and the findings it could collect online to build itself a body and make itself stronger, waiting for someone to pick it up.
