I get what whitewashing is like ive seen some do it so extreme but this doesnt seem as bad? Its still a dark color…a little lighter but i dont get why ppl so mad if the color aint exact..if ur used to drawing light skinned characters it makes it a bit harder..😰 not trynna start nothing either im just so confused why ppl act like senpai did this on purpose or smth 🤷‍♀️ Still a great drawing tbh

I understand what you’re saying, as luckily he didn’t decide to full on white wash her and make her a white girl, but that doesn’t make it any better.
If you take the two hexs and put them into AM sliders, comparing them side by side there is a COMPLETE difference, the skin is honestly more white leaning than black.
Though it may not be white washing, he’s washed her of a ton of her color, making her look 10x paler.
We also literally have the two colors #A06B23 and #9F7D28 already pre-chosen in the grid which could’ve worked perfectly.

if you can’t respect the color of a characters skin then there’s no point in drawing them, especially when it’s so simple.
its just falling into the same common trend of erasing rep and color from poc :/
