Also another tip (that I'm trying to do now) is when drawing for example the metal on the axe, looks at a picture of it in real life. Analyze the material and take note on parts of it. It's hard to do right away, so its a practice tip, you will get better over time the more you try it. Take notes on the colour across the light and shadow (like the saturation) and take note of features like bump and maybe scratches. Also take note on how the light reflects it, is it glossy? Does the light spread evenly across it or is it mainly at one point / section.
