I just like that era since it was the USAF’s prime for jet-making, like, in the late 70s and early 80s alone, you got the F-14, F-15 *and* F-16. And the F/A-18 a bit later. And that’s pretty much all we use today still, and we plan to for around the next 40 years (if the F-16XL/F-15EX programs happen)
