“Well, I’m not exactly sure how or why I’m able to do it, but it feels like stretching them out, and pulling them back in.” *Garnet explained as she flapped her wings.*

*Minty Chip was the last to wake up. She yawned, then realized that Garnet had wings.* “woah.. when did that happen?” *Garnet was confused, then realized they haven’t seen her wings yet.* “oh yeah, my wings. I can grow them and retract them back into my body.” “That’s so cool!” *Minty Chip exclaimed.*

*Garnet slowly woke up. She stretched, followed by a yawn. Once she got up, she grew her wings to stretch them too.*

*Minty Chip got to her spot and laid down. Then she went to sleep.*

(Time skip to morning again?)

“Thank you, Garnet.” *Minty Chip said.* “So, where should we look?” *Garnet asked.* “Well, we can look tomorrow, it’s getting late now, and I’m getting tired.” *Minty replied. She started to walk over to her sleeping place.* “oh alright, goodnight then,” *Garnet said. She decided to just sleep where she was sitting, so she laid down, and closed her eyes.*

“Yeah, you don’t understand. They also have machines that they built. And those can be very deadly.” *Minty Chip warned.* *Garnet was a little unsure now, but she was determined to help now.* “well, I’ll still help you, whatever it takes.”

*Garnet scoffed.* “that sounds like nothing! I can take them easily!”

“Well depends.. how much damage can they do, and how large are they?” *Garnet questioned.*

*Garnet couldn’t help but laugh.* “that sounds funny! They must look so silly!”

“Hunters?” *Garnet asked* “Oh yeah, I forgot about the hunters.” *Minty Chip said.* “they’re humans that want to hunt me down for some reason. They track me down and set up traps nearby for me to fall into, but I know enough to be careful.” “Humans? What are those..?” * Garnet asked.*

*Garnet noticed Dart having no teeth, she thought it looked familiar, but she brushed it away, and also smiled with her new friends.* “ so what should we do now?” *Garnet asked.*

“Yeah I see it now,” *Minty Chip said* “oh another question, do you plan on staying here? Or do you need to get back to your dimension?” “I’m not sure to be honest,” *Garnet said,* “ I was gonna leave tomorrow, but I guess I can stay here a bit longer. After all, I have just made new friends, and it would be rude to leave so early.”

*Garnet realized she wasn’t really clear.* “Well, it has the front half of the eagle, which is the head to the front legs, and the other half a lion. And that’s why my front legs look like a bird’s.” *she said, holding up one of her front legs.*

“It’s like a hybrid between a lion and an eagle.” *Garnet said.*

*Garnet could tell by the looks on their faces, that they wanted to know more about her. So, she asked, “Well, what else would you like to know about me?” *Minty Chip decided to ask in the most respectful way she possibly could,* “I wanted to know what type of creature you are.” “Oh alright. So.. technically I’m like… kind of a griffin. Which, I know makes like no sense, but it’s like pretty much generations of cross breeding different creatures together. There’s no name for what I am, but I’m like part griffin.. part dragon… part.. err.. I don’t even know to be honest.” *Garnet tried to explain.*

“Oh, interesting.” *Garnet said.* *Minty Chip wanted to ask another question, but she thought it would be rude to just ask, so what are you? She thought that Garnet was a dragon, but looking at her now, she doesn’t really look like one. She appears to have no wings at all, and her front legs look.. bird-like..? She also has fur, with a fluffy mane that trails along her back to her tail. She could not tell what Garnet was just by looking at her.*

“Oh well, yeah I come from a different dimension. I just wanted to explore you know? The dimension I come from is pretty much all red. And here, it’s like all green! Quite the complimentary, am I right?” *she chuckled*

*Garnet smiled a little. She hasn’t had any friends in a long time, and it felt good to have some now. She didn’t want to ask for help to make a portal to her home now. I’ll just make the portal myself tomorrow, I think I can survive this place until then, she thought. Then she realized she felt a bit sad to leave her new friends so soon.*

*Minty Chip was itching to ask,* “so what brings you here? I’ve never seen anyone like you here, and your scent is strange..” *thats when Minty realized that Garnet was the one who dug up her prey. She quickly put it past her, as Garnet literally helped Dart and Minty from dying, which was worth much more than a stolen piece of little prey.*

“You’re welcome. And yeah, by the way, all your wounds have healed but you’ll be sore for a while.. sorry about that, I’m a bit rusty with my healing powers..” *Garnet said.* “Its okay, as long as it works for the most part.” *Minty Chip said reassuringly.*

*Minty Chip gasped,* ”Dart! Thank goodness you’re alive!” *Minty Chip looked over to Garnet.* “thank you so much for helping, Garnet!” *Garnet nodded,* “It was no problem, I’m glad I could help.” *Minty Chip grabbed some prey for Dart, in case she was hungry.*
