The only sounds Murkpelt heard were the chirps of crickets, occasional rustling of small creatures, and the snores of her clanmates. Once Mothpaw approached and greeted her, Murkpelt looked down at him."Hi, Mothpaw. Can't sleep?" She asked, looking back up to keep alert.

Murkpelt was guarding the camp tonight. She wouldn't be able to sleep anyway, because of paranoia for the wolves. I wonder if any cat would even be able to sleep tonight anyway, she thought, looking around nervously. She only saw Mothpaw out in camp, quickly eating a mouse by the apprentice's den. Murkpelt didn't mind him though, she just focused on watching for danger.

"Well, goodnight Mothpaw." Mallowfur said, then headed off to the warriors den to go sleep. She entered the den and saw that most of the warriors were already asleep. Once she got to her nest, she curled up in it and closed her eyes.

While waiting for Mothpaw, Mallowfur began to grow tired once she noticed the darker sky. I'll just talk to him tomorrow, but I'll let him know, she thought with a yawn. As Mothpaw approached the apprentice den, Mallowfur stood up and said, "Hey, Mothpaw. I'd like to have a talk with you sometime tomorrow. Don't worry, you're not in trouble whatsoever, I just want a little check in with you. We can meet sometime at sunhigh, I'll let you sleep in since we all had an... eventful day, and we all need our rest."

"Alright, if you say so." Yellowstream replied, heading back to his nest while leaving the rest of the rabbit for Campioncloud. Then, just as Mothpaw headed out of the den, Campioncloud came back, and said as he walked by Mothpaw, "Oh, bye Mothpaw. Thanks for the prey and changing my and Yellowstream's bedding."

Mallowfur thought she should wait for Mothpaw near the apprentice's den. She also thought about what was upsetting Mothpaw, but she guessed it had to do with what Blackbriar told her, since she told her everything about today. It had been a pretty anxious and paranoid-filled day since the wolves were announced to be back out hunting. But now she noticed that the sky was beginning to get darker.
