First off, not a real professional paleoartist, just a guy making drawings and animations about his favorite things (prehistoric life, kaiju, monsters, animals, memes, etc.) Been around in this app since 2018, but only started posting in January 19, 2021, which is also the account anniversary.

🔵 Characters:

Alan- red allosaurus with even redder crests, my first ever true original character. He functions as our mascot and basically represents the account. Created on January 21, 2021. If I ever join any Pick A Spots, then you can draw him, as I feel like he’s the Mickey Mouse to my Walt Disney.
Tony- green tyrannosaurus, originally for my friends’ YouTube channel as we were asked to make a character based on our favorite things (dinosaurs, art, gaming, and Toon Sandwich for me at the time), but we seem to have dropped that idea so he just hangs out around here. Created on September 16, 2021.
DHL creatures (sort of)- now an abandoned desolate place, the Dinosaur Hybridization Lab was once a secret facility which specialized in the creation of hybrid dinosaurs. It was an interactive experience which had the audience choose the dna from a select array of dinosaur genomes in order for each participant to make their hybrid. You can check some of those out on some of my earlier posts (hashtag doesn’t work btw)
Monsters- haven’t posted those on here (yet), just some monster and creature designs i began doing at the start of 8th grade due to way too much free time at school, hoping to use those in something else in the future…

Think about it this way: as a straight guy, would you be gabbing girls’ thighs and pulling their shirts all the time? (I hope that the answer is no, or I would be concerned) Similarly, guys who are gay don’t act like this all the time (believe me, i know, there’s a few of those around my school, and they usually sit with the girls)
When straight people do this, it’s usually exaggerated so much that it becomes satirical, and honestly it almost happens that the straightest people are the ones who act the “gayest”. Honestly, i would be much more comfortable around someone who acts “gay” as satire than someone who doesn’t do anything at all. So if you want them to see you as straight, then slay, brother.
Yeah i was planning on making another tutorial WITH the Opacity tool (hence the title), but i felt that this was another good technique to share, as the Opacity tool can sometimes be a bit unpredictable, and not everyone is as comfortable using it.
But if you DO want to make your blending smoother, i would recommend using colors that don’t contrast as much and transition more easily (for example, instead of jumping directly from blue to yellow, going from blue to blue-green to green to yellow-green and THEN yellow makes the transition from one color to the other much less drastic)
But like I said this looks really cool and i’m glad someone tried it out
Oof i didn’t even think about power outages, i was too excited to play with my friends because i haven’t been able to previously because of school and kept missing their calls. On that note, i have some unfinished artworks i could work on (paper and stuff for this app) as a plan B if a power outage does occur.
Same, school got cancelled for me tomorrow and possibly Friday. But i’ll probably just spend a large part of the day playing online games with some of my friends
