Go to the colors menu. At the bottom, underneath the grid/color sliders, there is a checkered sliding bar titled “opacity”. This lets you use translucent colors. Hope this helps!

But, in all seriousness, to answer some of your questions:

1- multiple layers of insulating and reflective material
2 and 4- Armstrong’s first steps were filmed by an unmanned camera deployed from the space shuttle
3-it is daytime in the moon at the time of filming, and other stars can’t be seen due to the sun’s light
5- there is a pole that supports the flag, which can be seen if you look closely
6-orientation of shadows may be due to times of filming or different camera angles (after all, they did spend 21 hours in the moon)

BONUS: people often ask: “WeLl WhY hAvEn’T wE gOnE tO tHe MoOn AgAiN?!?!”. Because we don’t need to. There is no need to waste billions of dollars to maybe not find anything useful up there. The only reason we ever went up there was so we could show off our own power and technology to other countries in the aptly named “Space Race”.
