No no ur 100% right,, I did that too. I basically tried to "steal" how some ppl drew to try and get inspo. I did that to two ppl I think. One was from someone that draws here on AM and the other was the artist of lookism,, although i did still try it to other comic artists too but it was minimal. However I later found out that I lowk had to actually watch tutorials to become better. So after a long time of practice I finally started forming my own artstyle lol- 🙏 now I'm jus practicing poses for the most part,, tho I'm still practicing a little of coloring/shading and improving my artstyle to make it more realistic-ish,,
The only thing I do find disappointing is when someone LEGIT copies/traces an artstyle from HEAD to TOE- and then says it's their artstyle- like- no- it's not,, it's totally fine to take inspo, but don't just outright steal art and say it's urs- 😭
