Seriously is this how it done?

Males = has at least shorts or a shirt, and/or has a bow-tie or a tie? Females = usually has a dress, has this figure, have straps on the arms or legs, and supposedly pretty face? Is that how characters are like when it comes to genders? I’m confused and also if there’s anything wrong with it then I’m sorry.
