my mom called me over that day, my report card came home. i overheard my mom and dad talking about something while i was looking through my report card.

i passed sophomore year, but when i looked over to my mom, i knew there was pain in her eyes

i asked her what happened, and she told me her grandchild died

he would’ve been my nephew, he was around 7. i got to see a photo of him, my nephew was healthy, but the school kids bullied him for being chubbier than others

my mom told me when he would call, he wanted to meet me and my brothers the most, i never got to meet him
i never seen him alive

she told me he died painfully, she said he woke up and said it was hard to breathe, and he died afterwards.

there is a police investigation on it, i don’t know the status of the investigation, but they suspect it was due to bullying.

he was healthy, i was supposed to go to vietnam in a few years
