My experience with bloody orange skies

I woke up one morning to see that the sky was redish orange. I woke my dad up and asked him why. He got up immediately and looked outside looking panicked
He said that there was a big severe fire nearby.
(Someone commit arson on a part of the forest. OR IT WAS A WILDFIRE)
And it stayed that quality of smokey air for 2 days.
I didn't think anything of it, I actually found it super cool looking
