Prologue: Part two
“Ugh, where are these things even coming from? I seem to get a thorn in my nest every night!” Sandy complained to herself, rattling her tail in frustration. She took out the thorn in her nest and threw it aside with the pile of trash she had. Her den wasn’t too big, but it was just enough for a rattlesnake like herself, along with some stuff she wanted to keep in there. She slithered over to the cooler that one of her friends Ash had given her. Ash said he made it himself, but it was obvious to Sandy that he’d stolen it from the humans. There was no way a snake like him could possibly make anything remotely close to the cooler she was brought. Sandy hadn’t said that out loud to him though, she knew it’d probably hurt his feelings, even if he didn’t want to admit it. Sandy opened the cooler and inside was a watermelon, hard boiled eggs Anu’u made for her, and the corpses of insects. Sandy decided to grab the eggs for her breakfast, and went outside to meet with her friends.
I wonder if anyone will recognize this… hmmm… we shall see…
