Do you ever get a super cool story idea
And then realize it's basically the same as a show that already exists-
Like I had an idea of a kid that like accidently goes into another universe and shi by walking through a door or whatever
And I was gonna have like the reason why this happened was because of a scientist that was trying to test out an invention he made and he accidently made the portal to the universe on the kids garage door
So like said kid went to get a drink from his garage and when he went back through the door to get inside, things were completely different
And like it was a whole new world
That's basically it
But that's lit The Owl House with a few differences.....

I HAD A SUPER COOL CIRCUS WORLD IDEA
AND IT GOT STOLEN FROM ME GRRR (ik it was just a stupid coincidence)
IM COMMITING CRIMES ISTG

Omg i'm so sorry it happens to you... this is my absolute worst fear
Like when i have an idea i show it to the world as fast as possible so someone doesn't do the idea before me. I even get very scared of my ocs copying other characters it's terrible
But if you want reassurance, we all make our own versions of already made stories it's totally ok!! Like sci-fi or fantasy movies kinda all inspired eachother, with every new generation we get our own references that's the whole point in art industry!!
There's so many of us and only few get popular... but just know you're never ever alone and it should absolutely not discourage you to do your ideas really! You'll find your little community as every artist does
