Morning Sip of Water (Sinosauropteryx prima)

Sinosauropteryx prima is a small compsognathid dinosaur who lived in China during the Early Cretaceous. This little guy became famous for being the first dinosaur not directly related to birds to be found with evidence of feathers. Even more interesting, fossils of this dinosaur have been found with preserved melanosomes, which means that we have a pretty good idea on what this dinosaur’s colors were: ginger with white bands on its tail and darker color covering its eyes, which looks a bit similar to a ring-tailed lemur or a red panda.

I wanted to try something a little different this time, so i focused less on fine details and more on colors and, i have to say, i really liked how this turned out. I went on vacation for a week, so sorry for being late. For best results, view from a distance.

Edit: We made it to first on Trend!
