I’m sorry to hear that. I’m more than happy to explain, it’s just a bit complicated.
So there are the basic he and him pronouns, and then there are the basic she and her pronouns.
However, people also use they and them pronouns. I know in Spanish they’re usually used for several people, but people use them to mean multiple people and/or not knowing someone’s gender and/or the person is gender-neutral. I don’t really know how to describe gender neutral, but it’s basically just when you still have a gender but you don’t identify as male or female.
