But the indominus DOES have cuttlefish dna which was meant to help it cope with accelerated growth, but also gave it camouflage as a side effect so that’s why it can change it’s skin color. I don’t know what animal dna gives the carno its camouflage though

I meant that in the sense of just how advanced the carno’s camouflage really was, capable of replicating shadows and even complex man-made patterns. Pair this with a night setting and even the rexes are scared of these guys (despite their noticeably smaller size)

Yeah one of the inspirations for this was the carno from the jurassic park the lost world videogame, who had orange chameleon-like eyes and, like in the novel, can also change its skin color like a chameleon or a cuttlefish
