Mosasteus (DHL MRF) (4,7)

While at an attempt to recreate the Dunkleosaurus from JW, the DHl scientists instead ended up with the Mosasteus. Unlike the Mosasaurus, this creature has gills and does not need to breathe air. These creatures live in the trenches of the Tropical Oceans, only coming out at night to feed. They rarely eat, but when they do, they do so in frenzies. Just like the Dunkleosteus, the Mosasteus can open its mouth so rapidly and forcefully that it creates a suction which drives prey into its mouth. Their frenzies concide with the full moon, probably because of the added light the moon provides. Knowing when they come out is necessary to learning what little can ve learned of this rare creature.
