Pentaceratops chasing its prey (yes, you read that right!)

Based off of a theory i saw which states that ceratopsians and other herbivores may have eaten meat every once in a while to supplement their diet. It said it may have to do with the fact that ceratopsian teeth are very different from other herbivores. If you think this is far-fetched, just look up a video of a cow eating a snake. Its fun to think of ceratopsians as mesozoic boars. This is kind of the official Pentaceratops skin, but the colors are a little off from the one on Procreate and I drew the pattern on the frill very lazily for this animation. Might do a post with a more accurate pattern to the OG one i made.

Yes, but many modern day animals eat meat to fulfill their diets. Plus, ceratopsian teeth structure is very different from other herbivores, hinting to a different food source. But yes, they are herbivores, but could occasionally eat meat. Almost every creature out there isn’t strictly carnivorous or herbivorous. Take bears and wolves, whic sometimes eat berries. How about many hoofed mammals, sometimes seen eating birds, small mammals, and even snakes.
