[talk time] Minecraft is my favourite game but to me, its survival mode is a horror game

Now, I might just be a complete softie which is valid because i play very few games...
But there are many reasons why I think playing minecraft survival specifically, is a pretty creepy/scary experience.

1) The soundtrack
First of all, despite all the songs, Minecraft is a pretty quiet game... which makes it creepy already.
Minecraft's music is pretty melancholic and very nostalgic to listen to I agree. But I remember getting jumpscared so many times by some musics ingame. It just sounds so ominous to me. I know it's supposed to amplify the fact that you're lonely in this world... but there are musics that could really fit into a horror game no joke. And DON'T GET ME STARTED ON CAVE NOISES OH MY WORLD. IT'S HORRIFYING. Seriously from my experience all of minecraft's soundrack is extremely scary to listen to at night. Heck, even at day! I hate playing in my worlds without playing other music or a podcast or anything because then I get focused too much on the game and I get so scared of what could pop up all of a sudden.

2) The mobs
Yahoo cube mobs that pop out of NOWHERE and scare the frick outta you. Creepers blowing up, what a joy.. but skeletons who hit you from behind too, zombies too sometimes! And who am I kidding... ENDERMEN. GOD DAMN ENDERMEN.
FIRST world I created, I was immediatly KILLED BY ONE. SCARRED FOR MANY YEARS. When one would appear in my worlds I'd DELETE them. Couldn't escape, they'd kill me EVERY TIME. It was long ago, I have no problem killing them now but they are STILL JUMPSCARING ME EVERYTIME. UNIVERSAL EXPERIENCE.
And my dad was like "bUt tHeY'rE cUbEs!! HoW cAn yOu Be ScArEd oF cUbeS??" YOU CLEARLY NEVER PLAYED THIS GAME BEFORE.

No this game causes anxiety I swear. You get aware of every single noise that you hear, you wonder if it's lava if it's a monster if it's an animal or an underground thing or--
*HAHEM*
But I still like playing survival I guess (in peaceful mode) (and sometimes with cheats) (and muting the music)... I guess I just like scaring myself.

Also I invented a stupid game by flying with elytras in survival mode... I fly above the ground at night, stare at endermen and gather as much of them as I can. It's hilarious to look at them endlessly chasing you in a little crowd while you're flying above them... lol

One thing I hate about creepers is that they can explode instantly when they drop on you without making the ignite sound (the hiss).
Also, I'm assuming you've been avoiding the deep dark with the warden and stuff. I was really scared the first time I've looted an ancient city, and yeah I made some mistakes and triggered the shriekers a couple times, spawning a warden. However, I've gotten good at sneaking, and now I almost never trigger shriekers when looting ancient cities. I just have to be aware of everything I'm doing and it's all good.
Also another fact I think is interesting, if you keep staring at an enderman (like directly at its face), it will freeze in place. Idk if it stops them from teleporting away though, I haven't tested it enough.

I shiver every time I run out of iron, because that means I have to..... MINE....
OK but seriously, CANNOT go mining at night and WILL NOT wander into already made caves. I'd rather create my own cave so at least it could all be lit up. Had a nightmare abt an enderman teleporting infront of me while afk and made a loud scream as it killed me, now I'm even MORE scared to face them.
